Panalpina, Inc. to Present Panel Discussion at Supply Chain & Transportation USA Exhibition & Conference

Norwalk, CT, March 11, 2014 - Despite continuing volatility in many markets around the world, logistics service providers continue to expand their global operations. According to the 2013 Third Party Logistics Study, aggregate global revenues for the 3PL sector are on the rise, particularly in Asia Pacific and Latin America, which last year grew by 44 percent and 54 percent, respectively. Nearly two-thirds of overall survey respondents say they are increasing their use of 3PL services.

Two companies participating in that global growth are AGCO, a leading global manufacturer of agricultural equipment based in Duluth, GA, and global logistics provider Panalpina. AGCO sells its five core brands through independent dealers and distributors in more than 140 countries worldwide.

This successful partnership will be featured in a presentation at the upcoming Supply Chain and Transportation USA Conference, to be held March 17-19 at the World Congress Center in Atlanta. Jack Rittenhouse, director of North American logistics for AGCO, and Don Enderlein, Panalpina’s industry vertical sales manager for manufacturing, will discuss how the two companies collaborate to design and execute complex supply chain models that give Agco the flexibility and agility it needs to lead the competition. The session will include details on how how data, IT solutions and operational flexibility brought positive disruption to AGCO’s supply chain, driving manufacturing growth and least-cost execution.
This panel discussion offers an exceptional opportunity for conference attendees to benefit from the experience of industry leaders, and it is just one of many such sessions that will be presented at the inaugural Supply Chain & Transportation USA Exhibition & Conference, March 17-20, 2014 at the Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta, GA.
